Update April 29, 2013: SOLD!!! At my recent RAW Artists Nashville show this past Friday April 26th, I sold this painting for a whopping $600. Super happy to finally sell a painting, but also excited that it will be displayed proudly in a young couple's new home.

This took me a good month to paint because I kept getting unhappy with how it looked. Probably the favorite painting I've done thus far.

24" x 36" acrylic and watercolor on canvas

Hey, sorry it took me so long to take a look at this. You asked for a critique, but I don't really feel qualified to comment on this sort of artwork. Simply put, I've never painted, which might be why it's a little hard for me to appreciate this art form. I will say that it's certainly a vivid canvas! Have you considered superimposing one of your drawings onto something like this?

I like it! My only qualm with it is that the red looks blotchy and causes the overall composition to become disconnected.

Ah, I do see what you mean. Unfortunately, the picture of this does it no justice at all. The texture in person is one thing, but the color didn't come out like I wanted with my iphone. I would love to get a high res scan of the painting, but since it's so big I have no clue where I would go about doing that. It's really a piece you have to see in public to get the real feeling of. Especially by touching it.
