Part 6 in the "Chessboards" Sub-Series.

I'm really starting to obsess over anatomically correct people. This one took a little while. I'm also finally sketching out in pencil first. I usually don't take the time to do that. Also this is my 250th deviation! I'll do something real special for the 500th if I ever get that far. Since this is everything from the past 3 years, it may take a while.

About this sub-series:
"Chessboards" is an exploration in geometric space and humanity. The title of this one comes from a classic mathematics story of a man who is offered any reward he wishes by a king for naming an invention. He chooses to fill a chessboard with wheat/rice on each individual square, multiplying the number of grains by 2 each time. Therefore square one would have 1, 2 has 2, 3 has 4, 4 has 8 and so on. By the last square the number is up to 18,446,744,073,709,551,615. Ray Kurzweil later developed a technology strategy based off the exponential growth of the second half of the chessboard in which the numbers increase at an insane amount. While listening to NPR one afternoon a discussion was brought up that talked about this strategy and its relation to technology. Essentially as a species, we are in the second or back half of the chessboard when it comes to technological development. He theorized that at the current exponential rate of technology we will destroy ourselves in the next 100 years. I'm researching more of this as this series progresses, but I'm attempting to express information overload and the technological boom our world is experiencing. A barrage of media and unfiltered garbage that is subliminally fed into our subconscious, altering our DNA. Creating the next evolutionary member of our species.
